The Amazon Rainforest has the biggest biodiversity in the world. There are over forty thousand plant species, four hundred and twenty-seven mammals, three thousand fresh water fishes, and thirteen hundred birds living in the Amazon Rainforest.
Some of the animals in the Amazon are endangered. A few of these animals are the Jaguar, the Hyacinth Macaws, and the Three-Toed Sloth. Plants and Animals are important to the rainforest ecosystem because they contribute something of value to something else. Without plants and wildlife, there would be no rainforest ecosystem. |
